CAFAYATE
We start our journey along Provincial Route 68, passing through the picturesque tobacco-growing towns of the Lerma Valley. We'll make a technical stop in Talampampa to stretch our legs and continue comfortably.
Afterward, we'll continue on until we enter the Quebrada de las Conchas (Shells' Gorge). Along the way through this impressive gorge, you'll be able to observe many more incredible geological formations, such as The Amphitheater, The Devil's Throat, Tres Cruces Viewpoint, and more.
We'll then continue to a local winery for a guided tour and a tasting of their high-altitude wines. Finally, we'll arrive at the beautiful town of Cafayate, where you'll have two hours of free time to have lunch and explore on your own. The town's attractions include the Vine and Wine Museum, the Cafayate Church, the main square, artisan fairs, or more wineries.
We'll return via the same route, arriving back in Salta city between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
